Jan 12, 2024 · Kevin has always been known as a three-point specialist. Ever since his sophomore season, he's hit over 2 3-pointers per game with a solid 38-40% shooting percentage. Last year he exploded shooting 48% and 3-pointers 40%. At the same time, he scored 15 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists with 1 steal.

Huerter is playing 0.3 minutes per game more than his career high in Atlanta. Huerter’s usage rate is 0.7% higher than his career high in Atlanta. Huerter is sharing a role with two other guards in Sacramento. Huerter’s shooting attempts per 100 haven’t even increased too dramatically, up to 10.9 from 9.2 last season.

Jan 13, 2024 · The Kings #1 offense last year centered around the DHO with Murray and Huerter. They have since dropped to #14, playing average offense. I think the problem with Kevin is that he was the 2nd/3rd offensive DHO option last year and this year they replaced him to a 4th/5th option role player just like Barnes.

Oct 16, 2023 · Kevin lacks the quicks and athleticism needed to ever be a shutdown defender. But I was not that impressed with Chris D either…got hurt and played not very long. Kevin shot 40% from three and moving him to the 6-7th man will hurt us offensively some nights. But how much overall…time will tell. He sounds butt hurt.

May 7, 2021 · Kevin does some good and bad things as a defender, he isn’t super quick with his feet or strong enough to stop stronger and faster wings/guards, and Kevin can get beat off ball. But Kevin’s intangibles are really good.

Feb 19, 2023 · He made no excuses… I love that Murray takes a back seat in the rising stars and Huerter essentially goes ‘dang - but it is what it is, and I’d like to come back’. Huerter seems like he has his head on straight and is gonna come back well rested and firing bullets
