Nov 16, 2015 · I have the VIP 2 but in my travels to find happy I went through a 30 watt vypyr, VIP 3, 2 x 12 Vypyr 100. The 30 watt vypyr - had 2 both froze with Sanpera 2, no problems with sanpera 1. Love all the guitar heads. the 2 x 12 - had old firmware also froze with sanpera 2

I currently own a Peavey Vypyr VIP 1 amp, and I love it! The effects are great and the amount of amps you can emulate are pretty good. I'm new to pedals (or at the very least using them.) But for the price i'd say the amp is a good amp for the price. I'd recommend it or a Vypyr VIP 2 or 3.

Apr 28, 2024 · Peavey solved this problem years ago, but for some reason they threw it out and made Vypyrs have a hardwired sensitivity and threshold. Seriously, $400 dollars MSRP for an X3 and you cannot adjust the noise gate. With their precursor to the Vypyrs, the Transformer series, and their only worthwhile Vypyr imo, the Vypyr Pro, they gave you control.

Even though it's a decent little 20W modelling combo, an 8" speaker just doesn't sound as good as the 12" speaker in the VIP 2. Aug 14, 2020 · Hi there, I just installed my VIP 1 to my pc. I'm actually using a low end printer cable but as soon as I plugged it in it installed the vypyr interface. When I initially tried a similar game controller cable ( that works) it wasn't able to detect the amp.

Jun 18, 2024 · Hopefully someone can help me here, and hopefully it's something stupid. I just received a used Peavey Vypyr VIP 3 from Guitar Center today. Like most amps, I assumed I could simply plug in, turn it on, and scroll through presets. But no. I turned it on, and there's nothing coming through the speaker.

Apr 17, 2020 · The Vypyr does modern metal tones (Peavey 6505 ish) a lot better than the Katana. However, the Katana does most other things better. I've owned both the VIP-3 and the Katana 50.
