Randy Ciarlante is an American musician who frequently played with The Band. He joined The Band in 1990, [1] singing harmony and playing drums. He played and sang on their albums from the 1990s, including Jericho, High on the Hog and Jubilation. [2]

Randy Ciarlante (VOCALS / DRUMS) Personally recruited by Levon Helm, Randy shared The Band’s vocal and drumming duties alongside Levon. He toured with the group for more than ten years, was featured on Jericho, Jubilation, and High On The Hog albums and also appeared in many of The Band’s live performance videos and archival footage.

Oct 22, 2012 · In 2011, following Helm’s remarkable career revival via his Midnight Rambles and Grammy-winning albums, Randy got the call to rejoin his fellow “brother of the drum” as part of the Levon Helm Band. Reunited, the pair came full circle, revitalized and playing to new heights—until Levon’s untimely passing on April 19, 2012.

Aaron Hurwitz and Maria Spinosa had a band called Big Feachers, Randy played with them in the late 70s & 80s. Became a member of Levon Helm & The Woodstock All Stars in 1985. Had a group with Joe Flood and Jimmy Weider, mainly performing Joe Flood material, 1989.

Ciarlante, who joined a few years after Weider, and is the current drummer and lead vocalist in Weider's group, agreed, adding that familiarity with the core members made it an easy fit.
