Jan 7, 2019 · SSX Tricky on PC Hi, I'm currently working on setting up an emulator to play SSX Tricky on my PC, but I'm running into some problems here: The most reliable emulator seems to be dolphin which says it's a nintendo consoles emulator (game cube in this case), but I only own a ps2 controller with usb adapter (I used to play on ps2).

SSX 3 is the far superior game technically, the mechanics and gameplay are much better. The soundtrack is insane and way better than tricky, people are biased because they like the tricky song. SSX 3 allowed you to snowboard down the entire mountain in one smooth run, doing events or challenges all along the way.

You can really do some wild, dizzying flips and spins in SSX Tricky, and of course you can do the same in SSX 3, but, as you mentioned, the physics system tones it down a bit. However, SSX 3 does have an interesting stalling and off-axis mechanic which boosts how many points you get from doing tricks along with just looking really cool.

Mar 3, 2012 · Make sure you are utilizing the beginning of the track in order to get tricky/super tricky before the first big jump. Almost all the tracks in the game have enough space for you to get tricky before you reach the first big jump. Get that score multiplier up to x20 and keep it there. If you bail or lose your combo start over.

Yeah, I briefly played SSX 3 and SSX (2012) before now and enjoyed those (I enjoyed 3 way more than 2012, don't crucify me), but only heard of Tricky in the past year. This game has a HUGE pre-2000s coin-op arcade game vibe that I just freakin' adore, and every character is a joy to play as and read up on.
