Terrasen is a country located in the northernmost part of Erilea. Founded by House Galathynius, Terrasen is one of the largest kingdoms on the continent. During the King of Adarlan's invasion, Terrasen was the first to be conquered and added to Adarlan 's empire.

House Galathynius is one of the major houses of Erilea. They were the rulers of Terrasen for a thousand years before the Havilliards of Adarlan invaded Terrasen and killed the royal family. House Galathynius is one of the oldest families in all of Erilea, dating back to Brannon Galathynius's arrival at the end of the first war with the Valg.

Weylan Darrow (often simply Darrow) is a lord of Terrasen who served as a steward for the country during King of Adarlan 's reign. Darrow was King Orlon Galathynius 's lover for decades before the fall of Terrasen, and since Orlon's death, he has become a "cold, hard bastard, but still a fair one," according to Aedion.
