May 11, 2020 · Hey y'all, I have a question about these candle lanterns. Will the emergency candle from the dollar store work in UCO candle lanterns or do you have to buy the UCO candles? Also, are they worth it?

Oct 27, 2009 · I found the UCO version of a tea-candle lantern the other day, and so far I'm really impressed. It addresses most of the shortcomings of the brass bodied lantern I had. The UCO uses a fiberglass reinforced high-temperature plastic base that has 3 stainless steel clips that hold the candle in place.

Nov 17, 2010 · I bought a used UCO lantern ($2.00 @ flea market) that burns the 9 hour candles. I picked up a pack of the Coleman 9 hour candles at a nearby store. I have a Bass Pro about 30 miles away, but didn't want to make the trip for candles. Anyway, my question is about the Coleman candles. Do they burn as well as the UCO brand? Fit the lantern?
