In the interest of safety and traffic flow we ask that all passengers and their parties who are seeking to pick up and/or drop off within the station, please utilize the new Kiss and Ride and Cell Phone Waiting Areas.

Nov 18, 2024 · WASHINGTON – As the Thanksgiving holiday travel period gets underway, Amtrak customers can wait for their trains in a new, temporary waiting area at Washington Union Station. The waiting area officially opened on Nov. 19.

Washington, DC, Union Station has an enclosed waiting area, with Wi-Fi, with parking, with accessible platform and wheelchair available.

Inside Union Station, everything Amtrak related is just past the Main Hall, including ticketing, customer service, baggage check, and a waiting room with spotty Wi-Fi.

Union Station Parking Garage ‘s Kiss and Ride/Cell Phone Waiting area on the Bus Deck level is available for all station visitors. These lots are free for patrons to use for 20 minutes or less. In addition, these spots can be used for picking up and dropping off Lyft and Uber passengers.
