The Cavern Club is the cradle of British pop music, the place where the Beatles musical identity was formed. Today’s Cavern is a thriving live music destination and one of Liverpool’s top tourist attractions.
The Cavern Club front stage is the main area of the club, with the iconic arches and stage. It is open 7 days a week from 11am. There is live music from our resident artists every day from 11:30am until late. For more detailed information please visit our opening times and prices page.
There are two stages inside the Cavern Club. The front stage is open from 11am every day with live music starting at 11:15am. Please visit our website here to find out more. The Cavern Live Lounge is located towards the back of the Cavern Club and is open at various times.
Feb 14, 2019 · The Cavern Club opened in a warehouse cellar at 10, Mathew Street, Liverpool. Owner Alan Sytner named the club after the Paris jazz club, Le Caveau De La Huchette and planned for it to become the top jazz venue outside London.
The Cavern Club at 7-15 Mathew Street changed its name to the Revolution Club and hosted a music appreciation club called Erics. Unfortunately, this didn’t help to improve trade and Revolution closed on 14 April 1976.
