Yes, Guyle above has it: there is a toggle in the Lorebooks add-on. As an add-on, it’s only available to PC/Mac users, but the existence of the option shows that the Eidetic Memory is working even when you can’t see it in the native UI.

I think you are confusing the actual "Eidetic Memory" reward from the Mage's Guild questline with the Eidetic Memory section of your collected books. I'm not suggesting doing anything about the Mage Guild reward, as it is right now, you can still collect Eidetic Memory books before actually gaining the "Eidetic Memory" reward from the quest line.

After a quick observation (making an plan to finish the remain, using the ESO Head as guide for the locations of the missing ones), i notice some of them are impossible to reach / obtain (because they are in special locations).

Dec 19, 2024 · It's from the start of the third quest iirc. correct me if im wrong but all cards upgrade have fixed locations. when i was grinding on the clue i'd use multiple toons to do the dailies then transfer any clue i get to my main toon. they can be stored in banks and they can have duplicates if you dont keep track of them. if you're still undecided you can read the clue without getting the card ...

The Eidetic Memory section of the Lore Library will no longer appear for those that do not have Eidetic Memory unlocked. The Library of Incunabula collection will once again require Eidetic Memory to recall. The Words of the Poets collection no longer possesses the unattainable book “The Oath of Light.”
