Floor plan to accommodate a future elevator : r/Homebuilding
Aug 30, 2023 · Also provide an elevator pit that is 8" - 12" deep. Plan for equipment location on bottom floor. I draw the future elevator first and design the home around it because it is hard to shoe horn one into an existing layout. It always works out better if the top step of your stairway is very near the elevator door. Good luck and hope this helps.

The symbol is used when there is a slab/floor opening, for example an elevator shaft. In this case it’s probably for a heat pump that may stack vertically between multiple units. Reply reply

How do I display the current floor an elevator is on?
Nov 15, 2023 · I'd like to display the floor it's passing, or at least the direction of travel. When I press the button on a contact, which essentially acts as a call-elevator button, I'd like to see the progress as it can be hard to tell when it's a long way down/up relative to me.
A question about the star indicator next to elevator buttons.
Jun 27, 2022 · I ask because I have an elevator that has the main exit of the building through the lobby on the 3rd floor, but also has street exit on 1st floor (you can exit but not enter on 1st floor). So does the star mean emergency egress access and go on next to the 1st floor button, or does it mean main entrance access and go on next to the 3rd floor ...

Oct 19, 2023 · It looks like an elevator at the top. I strongly suggest starting your tiles with the opening of the elevator otherwise once you get to the elevator doors the tiles won't be centered with the opening and that will look horrible.
