In three states viz. Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Jharkhand, Naxals are able to get popular support, easy movement and safe passage.

Dec 10, 2024 · At present there are 38 districts affected by Left Wing Extremism (LWE) in the country. To address the Left Wing Extremism (LWE) menace holistically, Government of India (GoI) approved ‘National Policy and Action Plan to address LWE’ in 2015.

The LWE Division implements security related schemes aimed at capacity building in the LWE affected States. The Division also monitors the LWE situation and counter-measures being taken by the affected States.
