The Southwest Corridor Light Rail Project is a proposed MAX light rail line that would provide a 30-minute trip between Downtown Portland and Tualatin. The high-capacity transit project was planned for one of the most congested travel corridors in the region, and to support the estimated 400,000 new residents expected by 2040.

MAX (Metropolitan Area Express) Light Rail connects Portland City Center with Beaverton, Clackamas, Gresham, Hillsboro, Milwaukie, North/Northeast Portland and Portland International Airport. MAX Light Rail runs every 15 minutes or less most of the day, every day. Learn more.

Owned and operated by TriMet, it consists of five lines connecting the six sections of Portland; the communities of Beaverton, Clackamas, Gresham, Hillsboro, Milwaukie, and Oak Grove; and Portland International Airport to Portland City Center.

MAX Orange Line light rail service connects Oak Grove, Milwaukie, SE Portland, Portland State University and Portland City Center. Most northbound trains continue through Portland City Center as MAX Yellow Line trains to Expo Center.

Jun 1, 2012 · The new map has two important changes from the previous one: JELD-WEN Field is correctly named (instead of the old PGE Park – showing exactly why commercial names on transit maps are a Bad Idea), and the South PSU stations are shown as opening later this year.

Jan 24, 2019 · Just a week or so after their superb TriMet/WMATA mash-up comes this new map that reimagines Portland's MAX light rail as the Bay Area's BART. On first glance, it's another near-perfect rendition of the source map and there's a lot of neat touches.
