SchoolSafety.gov is the public website of the Federal School Safety Clearinghouse (Federal Clearinghouse on School Safety Evidence-Based Practices), an interagency effort among the Departments of Education, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, and Justice.

Comprehensive School Safety Assessments The foundation for all school safety and secu-rity planning and operations is a comprehensive risk assessment that identifies the highest probability threats (natural and manmade), - their potential consequences, and the school or school district’s vulnerabilities to those threats.
