Apr 9, 2021 · It is not practical to condense all of the steam from a hot Steam Vent to water directly via cooling, without spending excessive power. The Cool Steam Vent is at a much lower temperature, which makes the materials needed to build a tamer easier-- you can mostly get away with using Gold Amalgam instead of Steel or Thermium.

Steam is the Gas state of Water. It can be created by heating Water to 102.35 °C (vaporization point + 3 °C) or Polluted Water to 122.35 °C (vaporization point + 3 °C). Steam is denser than Oxygen or Natural Gas, but lighter than Sour Gas and Chlorine. Steam naturally comes out of the two types of Geysers, as either 110 °C or 500 °C.

Aug 7, 2018 · Use a thermo regulator pumping hydrogen to condense the steam. (Radiator build behind the steam vent) if you just want the water and don't care about the temp. Or better. Use an aquatuner. Cool the water from the bottom and build some pipes when it gets to cold behind the steam vent to condense the steam. Quasi 2 in 1 solution.

Mar 8, 2022 · My preferred method is to use either the cool slush or cool salt slush to cool the base and the water coming out of the cool steam (but only JUST enough to condense the water. Use the cold water to cool the base until it's about 25C, then feed it to plants, research, metal refinement, a buffer, whatever.
