Diageo has agreed to sell its 80.4pc stake in Guinness Ghana to Castel Group for $81m, the drinks giant said on Tuesday. The sale to the French-headquartered wine and beer giant follows the sale of the former majority stakes in Guinness Nigeria and Guinness Cameroon in 2024 and 2022 respectively. The business in Cameroon was also acquired by Castel while Guinness Nigeria was sold to Singapore-based Tolaram last June.
