Oct 5, 2004 · The RTX 3090 Ti features a GA102-350 GPU with all 10752 CUDA cores enabled. This is NVIDIA’s first RTX model with 21 Gbps GDDR6X memory and new power connector. The RTX 3090 Ti should be the last flagship Ampere SKUs to launch before NVIDIA unleashes its Ada GPUs later this year. That is a lot of power. I think a beefy PSU will also be needed.

Aug 2, 2008 · This is normal and it sounds to me like you don't know what you're looking at in GPUZ. If the rendering task doesn't require peak power, the card won't draw peak power. I too have both a RTX 3090 and a RTX 3080 Ti and neither one constantly runs at it's max power draw. They are working as intended and only running at "peak" when required.

Jun 11, 2017 · Yeah that is why I didn't try hacking a different driver to try to fix this. Nvidia just released a new mainline driver with support for the 3090 Ti too, unfortunately it didn't fix the issue for anyone. Something is different about the 3090 Ti where HP's Displayport connection in the V2 cable isn't being detected for still unknown reasons.
